candid {see it snap it love it}

Candid photography is my absolute favourite type of photography.
I think it's the truest sort of photography
and it's the sort that really captures a moment in time,
which is the reason I love photos so much in the first place.

Most of my favourite pictures of my beautiful boy are candid snaps,
ones which were caught in a second when he was doing something real.
And I think that's probably the case with most pictures of children;
that they photograph best when they don't know they are being photographed.

Like this one,
when he was giving one of his best smiles to his Pops.
You can almost hear the giggle coming out of the photo.
And you can see the happiness in his eyes.

I loved all the 'Peace and Quiet' photos from last week
and chose this one as the winner:

It definitely makes me feel very peaceful,
not to mention a bit jealous.
So A Mummys View is the Photo of the Week
and gets to show off the badge if she so desires.

And she has chosen the challenge of 'Nature' for next week.
Keep your fingers crossed we get some nice weather
so we can all get outside for some snapping.

But this week it's all about your 'Candid' photographs
which I can't wait to see.

    1. I hate that "cheese" smile that children do. I am determined to never get him to do that. X

    2. Ah - but I think you may get to a point where that 'cheese' smile just comes to annoy you - especially once he's in an environment when you're not the behind the camera! At that point the candid pictures become a new challenge... x

  6. Thought I'd have a go this week. Since everything is pretty much candid in our house, it's hard to choose. My wee man here, last summer in Wales, doing his very best to get away from me. NOT wanting a photo, so you can't get much more candid than that, I suppose!

  9. Oh bless him he lovely. Getting a shot of Ozzy not looking at me or aware I was taking it was quite easy - the little blighters have really gone off having their photos taken of late so every photo is a stealth photo!

    1. I either get ignored or he tries to grab the camera out of my hands. I have learned to work very quickly and stealthily. X
