animals

I decided that it really is time
to talk about my 'favouritest' animals in the world . . .

my original babies,
so I give you,
my fluffy babies,
Darcy and Wentworth.

soundtrack of life: song seven

The music that you listen to and surround yourself with is the soundtrack to your life.

But right now, Little Man, you are just too little to really know about it.
Other than that you like listening to it.
And that you like Mummy singing to it.
Which probably means that your musical tastes still need to be developed a bit.

Each week Mummy and Daddy are choosing a song which has some significance to you.

1

world photography day

I think that for the little guy,
it probably feels like he's living through world photography day most days.
I take so many pictures of him,
in some attempt to slow time and capture every moment of him,
that he's got pretty used to the camera in his six months of life.

6

your twenty-eighth week

You seemed to be getting more and more grown up everyday.

1

black and white

There have been a series of 'black and white moments' on the way to parenthood,
moments when the enormity of being a mum have been very clear,
right there in front of me,
in black and white.
So I thought I would share those moments.

10

your twenty-seventh week

You were becoming a very determined little guy.

10 things you don't know about me

The lovely Katie at Mummy Daddy and Me Makes Three tagged me in her 10 Things I Bet You Didn't Know About Little Old Moi... post. So I've been racking my brains ever since for 10 interesting, unknown facts about myself, whilst also managing to be somewhat witty. But failing that I am just going to stick with doing exactly what it says on the tin.

soundtrack of life: song five

The music that you listen to and surround yourself with is the soundtrack to your life.

But right now, Little Man, you are just too little to really know about it.
Other than that you like listening to it.
And that you like Mummy singing to it.
Which probably means that your musical tastes still need to be developed a bit.

1

water

Water is precious.
It cleans.
It quenches thirst.
But it's also really fun too. . .

six months ago - a half birthday celebration

Six months ago you were being born…

Six months ago we were becoming parents.
We were scared and excited and overjoyed and anxious.

5

your twenty-sixth week

It was scorching hot as you were approaching your half birthday!

13

it's the end of an era

I'm feeling sort of nostalgic today about my little man's life so far.
And a bit melancholy
There is a really good reason.

soundtrack of life: song four

The music that you listen to and surround yourself with is the soundtrack to your life.

But right now, Little Man, you are just too little to really know about it.
Other than that you like listening to it.
And that you like Mummy singing to it.
Which probably means that your musical tastes still need to be developed a bit.

birth

The obvious birth to 'gallery' when you have a son who is nearly six months old, is his.
His birth is so fresh in my mind.
So precious and special and life changing

But I'm not going to talk about his birth.
Maybe I'll do that another time.

I'm going to talk about my own.
Not my actual birth you understand.

My birth
as a mummy.

11

your twenty-fifth week

You sure didn't waste any time once you had worked out this sitting lark.
