twelve weeks new

We were really settling into life as a four.

7

dream big little ones

All parents have dreams for their children.
I think it's a natural part of raising a child
to think about where they might end up some day.
As much as it sometimes isn't that nice
to think about them all grown up,
flying the nest,
not needing us quite so much,
at the same time that is what we do it for.

28

stories {see it snap it love it}

Nothing quite warms my heart
and makes me smile
like seeing my beautiful boy
with his nose in a book.

And he LOVES reading stories.
I honestly think he would happily spend the entire day
bringing me book after book to read aloud to him.
And he will quietly sit and look through books alone,
concentrating on studying and then turning the pages,
for far longer than you would ever expect a toddler to.

He has his favourites.
He has stories he likes to join in with.
He has stories he likes to read all by himself.
He has stories that make him sit still and silent,
engrossed in the story unfolding before him.

1

it's always darkest before the dawn

I haven't been telling the whole truth here lately.
I haven't been lying, just keeping quiet about things.
I knew when I was pregnant with the beautiful girl
that things would be trying at times with two under two,
I knew there would be changes and that we would all need to adapt,
I knew that it would be challenging and exhausting and tough
and that was just on the good days.

53

light {see it snap it love it}

Our Christmas tree is up
and looking lovely.
I absolutely adore this time of year
and every single year I suggest to my husband
that we leave the tree up all year round because it's just so pretty.
He always smiles at me in that
"I love you but you're completely mental" type of way.
This year both my babies are a little in love with the tree
so maybe in a few years the three of us can convince him
. . . or not!

10

anything you were wondering...

Last year I took a blogging break at Christmas
and I plan on doing the same again this year.
Eating yummy food,
seeing lots of relatives
and enjoying time with my family
is just more important than blogging.

5

ten weeks new

Ten whole weeks had passed and we were in to double figures.

Mummy took you to the doctors for your check up and first set of injections.
The doctor was really pleased with how well you were doing
and you cooed and smiled at him for the whole appointment
so it was hardly surprising that he thought you were great.
You were definitely not a fan of having your injections
and Mummy felt like the biggest bully holding you as you flinched away from the needle.
Fortunately you seemed to get over it pretty quickly
with the help of a cuddle and a toy to look at.

You went along to your first dancing lesson.
Or rather you went along to Mummy's dancing lesson
to meet everybody.
You enjoyed watching the girls doing their ballet
and seemed to find the music and all the cuddles very relaxing.
Mummy couldn't wait until you got to go to dance lessons of your own one day
and it was scary to think that it would be no time at all before you were old enough to.
