feet

One of the first things my husband asked as our son was born was that traditional question;
"ten fingers and ten toes?"
Because that is your first indicator that all is well,
all is fine
and your baby is in fact perfect.

Baby feet are just so perfect,
so untouched and unspoiled
by long walks
and blisters
and bad shoes.
They are plump and gorgeous and
well, perfect.

And my beautiful boy's pudgy little feet are just that;
plump and gorgeous and unspoiled and perfect.
With teeny toes and even teenier toe nails
and skin so soft I could kiss them all day.
Only his little feet are so incredibly tickly that I'm pretty sure I wouldn't be allowed.

But perhaps that's part of their charm,
not only are they beautiful
but tickling them results in the most heart-melting, cutest of giggles.

  1. Oh my goodness that one of him with his little feet in the sand is just so cute- you take the loveliest photos. And I totally agree with how unspoilt and perfect they are. x
