splodge and me at sixteen weeks

Splodge's Size:
Splodge is now the size of a turnip.

Splodge's Development:
Splodge can more than likely hear now,
which means that from now on I'll be reading bedtime stories to both my children,
which is a really sweet thought
........ which just made me tear up like a baby!

 My Size:
My waist is now 34 and a half inches
which is three inches bigger than two weeks ago.
I didn't record measurements last time around,
but I actually think I'm growing slower this time than last,
albeit slightly earlier than last time though if that makes sense.

My Pregnancy Development:
It's pretty exciting to think I've got four months under my belt already.
It's going so quickly though.
By five months we had everything planned and ordered last time around,
this time we've not given it much thought yet,
apart from the fact that we'll need a double buggy
so we need to start doing some research really.

My Body:
I'm definitely feeling rounder and firmer around the middle than I was,
although I'm still at that stage where it looks like I'm a bit tubby
rather than growing a baby.
I'm not at the maternity clothes stage yet
but I'm starting to look around for some trendy maternity wear
so that I can look all yummy during pregnancy
rather than slummy.

My Appetite:
I'm experiencing some big icepop cravings,
which is possibly my body's way of telling me I need more fluids.
Other than that it's still all savoury foods I'm wanting,
although I haven't been feeling that hungry lately.

It was exciting to realised I'd passed the four month marker.
And it was great to get to check in with the midwife this week too.
It was definitely a top highlight getting to hear little Splodge's heartbeat for the very first time.
But on the date that I was sixteen weeks exactly,
I'm pretty sure I felt Splodge kick.
At least that was definitely what it felt like.

    1. Awwww, thank-you. My bump was pretty neat last time so I'm secretly hoping it'll be the same this time, but I guess there is no knowing. Ice pops are definitely my friends..... I love them! X
