colour {see it snap it love it}

A new colour has come into our house.
A colour which has taken over the shelves, sills and sideboards of our home
in the form of cards and flowers and balloons.

I'll confess that I'm not very keen on pink.
And it isn't a colour I'd ever wear
or that I'd have in my home.
But I find myself quite liking the recent influx of pink
because of the association.
The pinkness comes because of the lovely little pink bundle we now have living in our home,
and how could that not make me happy.

I took a week off last week
to enjoy my cuddly pink newborn.
But the week before the theme was 'Sparkle'
and the Photo of the Week which I chose was this one

I loved the sparkly water
but also the fun sparkling out of the picture.
You're never too grown up to play in puddles.

And the next theme chosen for us all is 'Animals'.

But this week the theme is 'Colour'
so get your beautiful photos linked up,
don't forget to link back here,
tweet me your links for a retweet
and share some comment love when you get a chance.

  1. ahhh - lots of pretty pink! Our house has lots having two girls and I do quite like it. Congratulations once again - she is beautiful. I was sitting behind you at Blogcamp but got shy and never introduced myself - I hadn't realised you were so close to the birth!

    1. I think I'll probably get used to pink, I won't get much choice I suspect, but it definitely wouldn't be my choice! And you should have said hello at Blogcamp. I often get a bit shy at those sorts of events too. And I was 9 days away from due date so my husband nearly vetoed the whole thing, but I was one determined blogger. X

    1. I don't completely hate all pink, it's that particular bubblegum shade often associated with newborns. Yucky! She is wearing a lovely dusty pink top today and looks very cute. X

  6. Lovely photo :) We had it the other way round and had a little girl first so our house is FULL to the brim of pink girly things! We're slowly trying to turn it around to neutral things now!

    1. Hehe. We do neutral in a big way in this house, the influx of pink cards is a big change, but lovely too because of what it's all for. X

  7. Congratulations. I'm not fond of pink either, but with three grils I have learnt to embrace it.

    1. I suspect I'll have to learn to embrace it too. But I'll put it off until I have no choice but to listen to her pink demands. X

    1. I have always been more of a fan of blue. But then I also think, with baby boys it isn't quite such a blue invasion as it is with pink when you have a girl. X
