i heart my snap

So, we have a toddler.
A proper, fully fledged walker.
We were so excited about the prospect of him walking,
and now he's doing it.
And he seemingly changed over night.

He seems to have grown instantly.
But at the same time seems smaller.
I know it sounds strange,
but seeing him vertical all the time definitely makes him seem taller.
You could never really get a grasp of how big he was when he crawled all the time.
And now he is striding around at his full height like a big boy.
But at the same time,
he just looks so small.
Too small even.
It doesn't seem possible that our beautiful boy can walk.

Which is why I love this picture.
It gives my new walker some scale,
as he walks along hand in hand with his best friend.
Yes, he is still our little boy,
our little baby,
but he's a big boy now too.

I love how they both have one foot raised
as they stroll together.
I love how their bodies are sort of angled towards each other.
I love how small one hand looks in the other.

  1. Such a gorgeous pic of them both, he's growing up so fast now! That would have been perfect for our pretty.little.things next week as the theme's 'Daddy and Me' lol xxx

    1. I did think that when I saw the theme this morning. Hehehe. And I love watching him grow up but do sometimes wish he'd slow down a bit. X

    1. It's funny isn't it, how they can be such a contradiction. Glad you like my picture, I love looking at it, it really makes me smile. X

  3. Oh how very gorgeous. My little one is almost there with the walking. I can't wait! Any tips for looking after a proper mini person as opposed to a baby?

    1. My little man went from nearly there to trying to run pretty quickly, so fingers crossed that you'll have a little toddler soon too, I have to say that its not really any harder to manage than his high-speed crawling, in fact it's slowed him down a bit which is quite nice. It might all change once he gets up speed, but I'm just so proud watching him toddle that I love it. X

  4. Gorgeous photo. It's so amazing when they start walking. Amy has been walking for about two months now and she seems so much more grown up now. It's crazy how they change from a baby into a toddler practically over night x

    1. Glad it's not just me then, who thinks that the baby to small child transition happens super quick. I love watching him toddle but can't believe my baby is possibly old enough to be able to. X

    1. I think it's the contrast in size I like best. Just makes my big toddling boy look so dinky. X
