my real cheeky monkey

 To me,
this little boy is so many things.

He is my son.
My baby.
He's my reason for everything.
He is my angel.
My little cherub.
My beautiful boy.
But he is also growing into a really funny and cheeky little person.

And I'm not entirely sure that the real boy really appears on this blog.
The angelic, cherubic, beautiful version of him appears here. . .  a lot!
But not always his cheeky side.

And in a little spontaneous photo shoot
I think I somehow managed to captured the real him.

The cheeky him,
the naughty him,
the smile that will let him get away with murder,
the contagious smile and giggle,
the real 'little boy' that we get the priviledge to live with
and love
and watch grow every day.

I had just sat this very tired boy down on my bed for a second
so that I could close the curtains
before giving him his milk,
reading a bedtime story
and putting him to bed.

 But someone had other ideas
and decided that a little adventure was in order.

You obviously can't hear it in pictures
but he was laughing so much
that I just couldn't stop him
even though he was already late for bed.

One of those whole body,
deep in the belly laughs,
that says "I'm having THE best time".
 So this is him . . .
My real little monkey,
climbing my pillow mountain
when he should have been in bed.

    1. He's not as good at posing now as he used to be, he doesn't like to sit still for very long. But he has definitely had a lot of practise in front of the camera. I guess he's just got used to "performing" when the camera appears. I may regret that when he gets older. X

    1. He normally has his crazy time in the bath and is pooped when he comes out and goes all tired and cuddly. Not on this occasion though, I think it's a case of the cat's away so the mouse can play, because Daddy normally does this bit of the day. X

    1. So I'm told, but then I think it's always hard to see similarities to yourself. But he does look quite a lot like me as an 18 month to 2 year old, so maybe the poor boy will look a bit like me. He's still got his daddy's cheeky smile though, don't think he'll ever lose that.
Thanks and high 5s back to you. So excited I'm a finalist and to see so many of my lovely blogger friends in there too. X

    1. Hehehe. He had literally just come out of the bath and had fresh PJs on. No time to get messy between then and bedtime, but the rest of the time he's pretty grubby if you look closely. X

    1. Yeah, I definitely wouldn't have him any other way. He'd be boring if he was only cute, the cheeky is what makes him so fun. X

    1. Exactly, he was just too adorable for me to stop him. Which I reckons fine as long as they don't get away with murder all the time. And besides if I'd stopped him then I wouldn't have these cute photos. Plus his giggle and cheeky face totally brightened up my day. X
