little miss bronte {what we're reading}

Wuthering Heights is my absolute favourite book of all time
so a baby version for my beautiful girl
simply had to be purchased as soon as I saw it.

And the Little Miss Bronte Wuthering Heights book
is just gorgeous,
and possibly my favourite of all the Baby Lit books that we own.
It is a simple weather book
but the pictures feature characters and quotes from the original book
which I just love.

We also have the other Little Miss Bronte book
(although the original was written by a different Bronte sister)
which is Jane Eyre .
Jane Eyre has been turned into a simple counting book,
again with images which take their inspiration from the original story.

Its fair to say that I adore the Baby Lit books
and the fact that I can begin to introduce these favourite classic tales
in a way that my little ones can understand.
I've already written about the Little Miss Austen range of books
which we also love.
Definite favourites for book time with my little lady.

  1. We have Romeo and Juliet from this series (a counting book). I love the idea of a weather book too. I love children's books and I really enjoy finding new ones through your posts. Thanks for hosting this linky.

    1. They are all lovely. We have Romeo and Juliet too, and there are a few more that we don't have. They are just really nicely put together for both kids and mamas. x

  4. We've got Wuthering Heights and I agree it's the best, at least of the ones we have. I think it's just got a little more complexity in the language so Kitty enjoys it too!

    1. Yes, I think I like it best because of all the little quotes from the original. And that definitely makes it more appealing to older kids. This is definitely the little man's favourite of the whole collection we have. x
