"i cannot live without....."

. . . my family.

It's a lame answer I know.
I tried really hard to think of something witty.
BritMums challenged us to think of just one thing,
and I guess I sort of cheated too,
as well as being unoriginal.

But my family,
quite simply,
mean the absolute world to me.

There's that old line that
"You can't chose your family"
but I genuinely would chose mine.

And because I've been so boring and unexciting with my answer
I've decided to set myself the challenge
of explaining why my closest family are each so special to me
but in only one sentence.

Grampy is wacky, loud, collects stamps and gives you a choice of taps to get water from when he makes you squash but he's so, so full of fun.

Granny loved owls and expensive cosmetics and Wales but nothing meant more to her than her family and she loved it when we were all together.

Nan is a bit quirky but has a pure one hundred percent heart of gold and would do anything for anyone, as well as having a love of baking that she's passed on to me.

Grandad drove in his slippers, grew fantastic vegetables and never threw anything away as well as having the driest, naughtiest and funniest sense of humour of anyone I've ever known.

Dad is a bit of a geek and my sounding board and I know that he would genuinely do absolutely anything he could to help me.

Mum is my best friend who I know I could rely on for anything and she has taught me more than I could ever possibly thank her for.

My brother is becoming a fantastic mix of all the men above and I feel honoured to have been able to share such an exciting and fun childhood with him.

My hubby is my other half and I really would be half the person without him.

My little guy is my whole world and my reason to breathe.

. . . Right, I'm heading off to have a right good cry now.
Sometimes I'm too sensitive for my own good.

See how the other mummies responded to this prompt.
