the danceathon

I have danced since I was a teeny little dot. I absolutely love it. I'll dance in the kitchen, in a dance class, in the shower, on the street, in the car... I'm not fussy. But if the groove takes me, I dance. I teach dance, both my children dance, dancing is such a big part of what makes me me.

So a chance to raise money for an amazing cause.... and do a ton of dancing? It was always going to be right up my street. On March 8th, I will be heading to Wembley as part of Team Honk to dance my little socks off for six whole hours to raise money for Comic Relief for all the amazing work that they do. I am unbelievably excited about this!!! It won't be a walk in the park, even with a bit of dance experience, six hours of any kind of physical exercise is going to be tough going, but I'm so excited to be helping to make a difference.

5

eighteen months new

Eighteen months old,
officially a proper toddler now,
and just the best little girl ever!

1

fourteen months new

Your fourteenth month saw some big changes.

11

your thirtieth month

Two and half years old. And the most amazing little boy.

10

forty-five weeks new

You were getting bigger and more clever with every day that passed.

4

your twenty-ninth month

You were such a sweet and funny little guy.

7

forty-one weeks new

Our little lady was properly on the move.

9

ten weeks new

Ten whole weeks had passed and we were in to double figures.

Mummy took you to the doctors for your check up and first set of injections.
The doctor was really pleased with how well you were doing
and you cooed and smiled at him for the whole appointment
so it was hardly surprising that he thought you were great.
You were definitely not a fan of having your injections
and Mummy felt like the biggest bully holding you as you flinched away from the needle.
Fortunately you seemed to get over it pretty quickly
with the help of a cuddle and a toy to look at.

You went along to your first dancing lesson.
Or rather you went along to Mummy's dancing lesson
to meet everybody.
You enjoyed watching the girls doing their ballet
and seemed to find the music and all the cuddles very relaxing.
Mummy couldn't wait until you got to go to dance lessons of your own one day
and it was scary to think that it would be no time at all before you were old enough to.

2

your fifteenth month

We had been starting to wonder if it would ever happen.

2

your forty-third week

You were finally starting to take after Mummy a bit.

soundtrack of life: song eleven

The music that you listen to and surround yourself with is the soundtrack to your life.

But right now, Little Man, you are just too little to really know about it.
Other than that you like listening to it.
And that you like Mummy singing to it.
Which probably means that your musical tastes still need to be developed a bit.

Each week Mummy and Daddy are choosing a song which has some significance to you.
