our spring and summer manifesto

It is now officially Spring, even if it doesn't quite feel like it yet. We are now entering into my favourite six months of the year, and I can practically smell the possibilities... and the sunshine. I'm such a sunshine girl, and nothing makes me happier than when the calendar turns over to March and Spring is finally here (except when the calendar flips over into June and SUMMER is here - because summer really, truly holds my heart!)

a favourite place

I love that we live where we do. Not necessarily our specific home or street, but the area. Because we are utterly spoiled with being surrounded by some beautiful parks and gardens and pretty spots, as well as being equidistant to the bright lights of London, and the calming air of the coast. We can be at either with 45 minutes, and I think it gives us the very best of both worlds.

happiness and capturing us

Family photos mean a lot to me,
to us actually.
And I think anyone who has ever taken part in Me and Mine knows why;
there is something addictive about having yourselves recorded as a family.
Something about the beauty of seeing your family as the world sees you,
together,
a unit,
the embodiment of what love means.
I see photos of us as a four
and I just feel such overwhelming pride,
that that happy, smiling family I see is mine.

Eighteen months old,
officially a proper toddler now,
and just the best little girl ever!

so much fun

Summer has gone,
but we decided to bid it farewell in style.
We had a long weekend break at Center Parcs
with our good friends Katie, Mr E, Mads and LL
better known as the family behind Mummy Daddy Me.

Blogging has opened up a world of possibilities to me,
all of which I'm extremely grateful for.
And while friendship was something I hoped for,
I genuinely never expected to find the kind of friendship that our families have.
We just click together
and have the best time.

Our holiday back in July
was like a test run for our September holiday,
fortunately a test we all passed.
And our recent holiday together was brilliant,
so many smiles,
so many laughs,
so many great memories...

fifteen things i love

15

the whole truth

As a parent there is no greater compliment
that a compliment on your children.
People telling me that they think my children are polite,
or good natured,
or cute or happy,
absolutely makes my heart sing.
Because I helped make them
and I'm helping raise them,
and so that compliment is half mine, right?

twenty-nine weeks new

You were really getting a taste for weaning now.

your forty-ninth week

You seemed more like a little boy than a baby with each new day that passed.

1

wishing and hoping and dreaming

Looking into a newborn babies eyes
you cannot help but feel hope.

I know that I had dreamed of becoming a mum
for as long as I could remember.
For me, those little newborn eyes,
looking around the world for the very first time,
were my very own dream come true.
