bath time sail boats

We love wooden toys around here.
Really love them.
They are classic and they stand the test of time
and they just generally look lovelier.
We have a home absolutely full of them.
Except when it comes to bath time,
where it seems plastic reigns
. . . until now!

We were sent this amazing Activity Sail Boat Set from Plan Toys
by The Toadstool as part of our role as ToadTesters
and we were so excited to finally extend our love of wooden toys to bath time.
These toys are made from a specially treated wood
so that they are completely waterproof,
and they have such a lovely, sturdy feel to them.
I just know they'll last for years of bath play.

This toy just encapsulates absolutely everything I love wooden toys,
it's so simple and traditional and beautifully made.
A cute sail boat with a hook on the back for fishing,
and a little sailor and accompanying sea creatures too.
It kept my two children entertained for the whole of bath time,
as they loaded up the boat,
made it sink,
and floated it around the bath at great speed.

We just love this toy so much,
it's so wonderfully unique and such good quality.
I'm now planning to exchange all our old plastic bath toys
with more of Plan Toys' lovely wooden ones that they are bringing out.

We were sent this toy free of charge for the purpose of this review
as part of role at ambassadors for The Toadstool,
but all opinions, words and photos are my own.

  1. I just love your photography.... I wish I could have your creative eye. Your two kiddies are absolutely precious. These are cute bath time pictures. I can't wait till Missy Moo is a bit older and then both can play in the bath more together. I have tried a few times but Buba gets a bit hyper happy and splashes a lot. Love the boat!!!!

    1. Haha. It would pass for an anchor too. But all the little sea creatures have a hole through them so you can catch them with the hook. x
