meals full of happy {52 adventures}

This probably seems like a very random kind of adventure... and it is really. But it was one, and it was as adventurous as we got this week with a Daddy away with work and a Mummy recovering from flu. So yes, I took my children to McDonalds for dinner, it saved me the prep, the cooking and the clearing up. And it made them happier than happy things... mainly because I got them their first ever Happy Meals.

4

sixteen months new

You seemed to be right on the cusp of being a real little girl, but not quite.

7

{the ordinary moments} messy faces

You have to love how meal times for babies are so multi-scensory.
Chew it for a bit.
Spit it out.
Have a look.
Squish it through your fingers.
Put it back in your mouth again.
Give it another chew.
Maybe smear some on your face.
Swallow a bit.
Dribble a bit.

I can't be the only one who loves a messy baby face.

10

forty-six weeks new

It seemed like you had grown up a whole month in just a week.

1

your nineteenth month

As far as we were concerned,
you were quickly turning into an absolute genius.

1

the 4th of july

I'm not American.
So I have no claim on 4th of July celebrations.
But I have been on some awesome holidays there.
And I do love all things Americana.
13

your thirteenth month

It was hard to believe that a whole month had passed since you turned one.

0

your fifty-second week

We just couldn't believe where a whole year had gone.

2

the kitchen

My kitchen and I have an interesting relationship.
I like it to look tidy and clean and pretty.
I like buying gadgets and utensils for it.
I love looking at.
I don't love using it.

11.11.11

11.11.11
Isn't there something lovely about that as a date?
So pretty and balanced.

And it was a special date for us
because it marked a special point.
The little guy was born after 39 weeks and 5 days of pregnancy.
And 11.11.11 marked 39 weeks and 4 days of life in the outside world.
It was the very last day when I had been his home for longer.

if i had just one day to myself...

I should probably start of by saying
that since reading this week's BritMums Blogging Prompts
I have been fantasising about my ideal day down to the smallest details.
The result being that I spent a whole day of my weekend
thinking about how perfect a day good be,
if only......
