my breastfeeding journey continued
Friday, 11 October 2013
I would say that breastfeeding has been one of my biggest surprises
in parenting as a whole.
I didn't have mixed feelings about it before I had the beautiful boy,
it was more that I had no feelings about it.
I wanted to give it a go,
but I wasn't at all worried about whether I would keep it up or not.
I had no expectations,
and my breastfeeding journey with my son,
just amazed me in the best way possible.
Second time around was different
because prior experience meant I had a ton of expectations.
feeling good

It can be hard to feel good about the new "mummy body"
that you get left with after you have a baby.
And it can be harder still
to know what on earth you are supposed to dress this new body in.
Add to that months of breastfeeding,
and the clothing issues just keep adding up.

Breastfeeding is hard.
I think any one who has breastfed will tell you
that in the early days it hurts
. . . a lot.
And anything that can make those early days a little better has to be a good thing.
bebe au lait nursing cover review

Breastfeeding is really important to me
and it's something which I have really proudly done for both my children.
I have been really lucky and have had really positive breastfeeding experience
but that's not to say that it hasn't been difficult at times.

my breastfeeding journey
Wednesday, 27 June 2012
I've never really talked about my breastfeeding experiences on here,
I think this is mainly because it can be such a contentious issue among mothers
and I wouldn't ever want to seem like I was passing judgement.
But I also stayed quiet because my journey was mine
and my son's
and it was and is deeply personal and close to my heart.

it's the end of an era
Saturday, 6 August 2011
I'm feeling sort of nostalgic today about my little man's life so far.
And a bit melancholy
There is a really good reason.
