a grateful heart

Thank you babies,
for being mine,
for being the people who made me a mother,
for letting me join the amazing 'Club of Mummy'.

I get to celebrate Mother's Day because you came along,
I get the magic of you saying "Thank you very much",
and I get extra cuddles and kisses,
and to be wished a "Happy Mothers Birthday."

You challenge me,
you make me laugh,
you drive me mad.
And you make my world brighter, louder and so much more special,
just by being in it.

You're growing so fast
and so strong
and so beautifully.
And you make me so very proud
every. single. day.

My beautiful babies,
you gave my life a purpose that I never knew it lacked,
you showed me a love I could never have imagined.
you make me a better person,
and you make me want to be better.

Thank you
thank you
thank you
from the luckiest mama alive.

I love you with all my heart.

  3. Wow this made me cry Lucy. Such beautiful words so greatly written. I love this picture of you three walking away. I am always trying to get Mr P to take similar photos for me. He isn't enthused about it ever. I think I need to hire a photographer just to follow me around so they can capture great moments like these with my kids. ;) If only. Lovely post!

  6. Aw what a lovely post. I feel the same about my babies. They drive me mad but there isn't anyone else I would rather be driven mad by. ;)

  8. What a beautifully written post, i feel the same towards my babies. People always say how lucky the boys are to have me as their mum but i think it's the other way round, i feel incredibly lucky and blessed that they're my boys. Children are a wonderful thing and they bring so much happiness to your life! xxx
