ready for the big day

We seem to have a year of weddings this year,
with lots of friends and family members getting married.
In May, my husband's cousin is getting married,
which means not only new threads for the hubby and I
but also cute mini outfits for the kiddos too.
And the probably excites me more than it should!

So when Marks and Spencer's offered us the opportunity
to review some items from their Wedding Collection,
I was super excited to see what they had on offer.
We opted to get a full outfit for the little guy,
as 3 Piece Waistcoat Outfit with Tie was just too cute to resist,
and the fact that the outfit comes complete with everything you need
seemed like a real bonus.

I love that it is smart
without being too formal.
Having a waistcoat instead of a suit jacket
makes it far more comfortable for him to move around it
and also means its more versatile;
we've tried the waistcoat, shirt and tie with some skinny jeans,
and it looks really cool but casual.

We had already picked up a pretty dress for the little lady
(it was from Gap in the sale at Christmas)
but we picked out an adorable pair of Bridesmaid Glitter Bow Ballet Pumps
from the lovely collection at M&S.
They complete her outfit perfectly,
adding that little touch of sparkle,
while still being comfortable for her to toddle around in.

We're absolutely thrilled with the quality of the items we received.
They are all so nicely designed,
so that your children can look smart at a special occasion
while still being comfortable and looking very much like children.
The suit trousers have the hidden waistband adjustments in,
and the tie does up at the back with velcro which is hidden by the shirt collar.
Little touches which make the clothes so easy to wear for little ones.

We can't wait for the wedding to come around now
and to dress out little ones up in their lovely outfits.
I just need to find something for me to wear first…!
