home life project {march}

I already feel stupidly nostalgic looking back at last month's Home Life Project post, because as much as I knew that we'd sold our house and would be moving, it didn't really feel real. It didn't feel real on moving day either. And if I stop and think about it, it still doesn't feel real now.

The kids have dealt so fantastically with the changes, and on the most part have taken it all in their strides. Although days after moving in, Rich left the country on a work trip, and is still away... so I think it might take a little while yet for us to feel properly settled.

But I'm glad that I documented this weekend nonetheless. It was a quiet one. Dylan has been under the weather and a lot more still and quiet than normal, and we had a super early start to our Sunday morning thanks to a series of early morning power cuts that switched off (and then on again) the kids' nightlights. It was a simple day of playing in their new playroom and bedrooms, and not a lot else. But it was exactly what we needed at this moment in time.

To find out more about Home Life Project, check out Maybush Studio for all the details, this project is her baby; and a beautiful one it is too. I'm so excited to take part.

  1. Moving house can be so exciting yet terrifying at the same time. It took a few months to get used to our new home and I'm sure that once you have made your mark on your new house it will soon feel like home.

  2. Yay look at your big grown up house. I loved having a sneaky look at it in these photos and I bet you will treasure looking back at these in years to come as your first couple of weeks in your new home. I can't wait to come over for a house warming! xx

  5. Everly is suddenly looking very grown up in some of those photos, particularly the one of her in profile! I sympathise with you having Rich away, Jim is away all week and the odd weekend too. It's exhausting (obviously) but also frustrating when you want to get things done round the house. Have you got a list on the fridge, or is that just me?

  7. Oh Lucy. Your photos all look so homely already - your dining room set up with the higher chair for Dylan is just the cutest and I love him sitting on that cushion. There are some really thoughtful photos of the children this month x
