the siblings project {may 2018}

My little tribe. My four little loves.
Dylan, Everly, Quinn and Wylder.
My four. My heart.

This past month has seen a whole lot of change with the arrival of our fourth and final baby. Every one seems to have taken their sibling promotion in their stride, with lots of affection and attention being lavished on our lucky, lovely little man. And I'm remembering all the ways that love grows when their is a new baby in the house. How not only do we all have this new love Wylder, but how seeing the older children doting on their baby brother, makes me love them even more. It's a big old bubble of love around these parts, I have to say.

So, yes, there has been a line up change for this month's photos. And it makes my heart swell with pride to see these four together, and to know that I get to call them mine. It feels like they were always meant to be a four, destined to be a four. I can't wait to see how their relationships change and develop and grow over the coming weeks, and months, and years. Because this is just the exciting start of a whole lifetime of the four of them challenging one another, learning from one another, supporting one another, annoying one another, and loving one another.

I think it's probably abundantly obvious that I'm totally in love with these photos. I just think the love and the pride of those three big siblings shines out of every photo. And take a look at Wylder in the last photo... thats the moment when you realise that this crazy, loud bunch of loons is your family, and you're stuck with them.

  4. Oh Lucy! These photos take me back to this time last year! Of all the sibling transitions, three to four was the easiest I think... the big three all very used to sharing me already, so there was none of that battle to adjust, or at least not as intensively. They all look just so thrilled with him, and if Wylder is anything like our Elias, he'll live out his days thinking life is one big entertainment act - always something going on to keep him amused. I am SO thrilled for you that you have a little brood of four now... having four always seems to shock people, but I have honestly found it just the best dynamic! It's full on, but you will love it!! Love to you friend! x

Quin looks like she has grown up so much just having him next to her and they all look so proud of have a new sibling too. What a perfect combination two boys two girls everyone having a sister and a brother is just precious. The perfect foursome I ever did see. We can't wait to get us all together and the kids all play together soon. Missing you and your beautiful tribe. Fingers cross I can drive again soon to come see you.

  7. Congratulations on Wylder Lucy, I can see why you're all besotted with him. I used to take part in Me and Mine when you first started it (back in the day when you had 2 children and I had one). I've drifted from that as snapping a family portrait seems so tricky but taking more of the boys so it's high time I joined in here. Posting for the first time and pleased to have the nudge so thank you for hosting

  17. These photographs are the best thing I have seen on the internet today, dear. What a great way to document and what nice colors. I wish I had done this with my two daughters long back, but guess what I am busy with this weekend? Yeah, this is great and I can't sleep without taking my photos. Thanks heaps!
