Back in April I shared a gorgeous rainbow dress that we had for Ashlyn from Frugi as part of our role in their Frugi Family. Well we have absolutely loved that dress (and it's still going strong nearly 6 months later!) and Everly especially has always commented on how pretty it is. So when we were asked what we would like to review from Frugi's new Autumn Winter collection, I decided it was probably time that my big girl got a beautiful, bright and colourful Frugi dress to call her own.
I have to say that it's the bright colours and eye catching designs that I love the most about Frugi. I feel like you can tell just by looking at an item that it's from them. The quality is fantastic too, they wash amazingly, and you can't argue with the credentials of their organic clothing. Plus, something I think I've said in both my previous Frugi Family posts; the clothes really look like children's clothing. These aren't smaller versions of grown up outfits, but fun and playful designs which are what childhood should be all about. They kind of feel like the kind of clothes that children would design for themselves, and I love that about them. Which is probably why I've recently spent a pretty penny buying lots of lovely pieces from their sale for next summer, as well as on new things for the new season.
Anyway, back to Everly's dress; I gave her a chance to look at the collection and choose for herself, and she plumped for the Emmie dress with it's inky blue cord and eye-catching weather based design. I don't think it's an accident that after commenting so much on her little sister's rainbow dress, she's chosen a more grown up version for herself.
And my goodness does she love it. And I absolutely love her in it. It is just such an adorable design. And it's versatile too; because right now, while our Autumn remains mild, she can wear the dress alone, but once the colder days appear we can add a long sleeved t-shirt and some tights for a totally new look. Plus I feel like the cut and length of the dress mean that it will probably still fit her nicely next winter too (bonus!).
Everly has already decided that she wants to wear this dress for her birthday, and as a girl who loves a pretty frock but can be very discerning about her wardrobe, that is pretty much the biggest compliment that she can pay.
This review, as I've already said, is part of the #FrugiFamily project, so in order to find lots of other bloggers sharing their favourites from the new collection, stop by The Black Pearl Blog to see her choice and then follow the link she sends you to (and so on, until you've come full circle right back to here.)
