And so August draws to a close, and with it the summer... where on earth does the time go? It's been a chilled but lovely month for us; simple days out, and a lot of relaxed days at home too, which is exactly what the summer holidays are about if you ask me. I'm facing September with a mixture of excitement and trepidation; it'll be good to get back into routines, although I'm going to miss having my little gang together all day every day (and Quinn is going to miss her play mates terribly), and it will see us sending our biggest girl off to big school. Which can't come soon enough for her, but which I know will trigger tears for me when the day comes.

August means we have our tradition for The Me and Mine Project, of going back to the same spot, and taking the same photo looking through the same gate. I love that we do this, because I really do feel like it tracks how the children grow; Quinn is hardly recognisable as the baby peering through that centre diamond in last years, and the other two have grown - Everly especially - and apparently, while Dylan has grown, it's not enough to have outgrown the same t-shirt that he wore for last year's.

I can't wait to see what you all have to share this month, and make sure you pop by my cohosts (Alex, Charlotte, Fritha, Jenny, Katie and Lucy) to see what they've been up to this month too.
