bikini babe

Everly is very much at an age where she knows her own mind. She knows what she likes and what she doesn't and is definitely interested in what she wears. And while it can be hard to relinquish control, having been able to pick out all her outfits for the past three and a half years, it's also nice to see her developing her own sense of style... mainly because she seems to like a lot of the same things that I do (I have trained her well it would seem!)

So when the time came to pick out something from the Frugi Swimwear Collection, I decided to be brave and let her pick for herself. In all honesty she couldn't go far wrong, given that the entire collection is so lovely. And seeing the excitement on her face was adorable, it was like she couldn't believe her luck that she got to choose her own swimsuit. I should also add that this excitement was completely outshone by the excitement of said chosen swimsuit appearing through the post as if by magic... and just like that, an internet shopping addict is born.

She chose the Trevose Tankini Set, I think because she was drawn to the frilly skirt detailing on the bottoms and the big flower on the top. I was really glad to see that it is UPF50+ so will provide that essential sun protection in the hotter weather. She also seemed to like that it was a two piece set, I think it seems more "big girly" to her, but at the same time I love that it doesn't seem too grown up. I think that is one of the things I love most about Frugi, their clothes feel distinctly child-like; full of bright colours and fun patterns that childhood is all about.

I feel like the photos probably speak for themselves really. She absolutely loves her new swimsuit, as do I. And she's been asking to go swimming, or pop in Nanny's hot tub, ever since it arrived, which is surely a testament to what a fan she is. Everly is 3 years old, but I went for an age 4-5 because she tends to wear that age 4 sized clothes, and the swimsuit fits her really nicely but will definitely still fit her next year too which I'm glad about.

We are so proud and excited to be part of the Frugi Family this year, and you can see our previous post here. One of the lovely things about the #FrugiFamily is that there are a few bloggers taking part, with different aged children and different tastes. We're all posting today with our choices from the Swimwear collection and sending you around in a little circle to visit each other's posts. I'm sending you to visit Sandra at The Black Pearl Blog, so go check out her choices.
