And I love the fact that they won't remember a time without the other. xlucy at dear beautifulhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/14389965251370657029noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2511297148381608839.post-50150511278240016362012-05-01T09:15:25.120+01:002012-05-01T09:15:25.120+01:00I guess you'll find it completely different wi...I guess you'll find it completely different with number two then, with getting the chance to plan and prepare a bit more. It's definitely more of a negotiation when you plan number two.
I think different age gaps work with different children and different families. We would like a third too (we think!) but we don't think we want a small gap again and that we'd wait until the older two are at nursery/school. xlucy at dear beautifulhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/14389965251370657029noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2511297148381608839.post-7891522518823688062012-05-01T09:12:53.720+01:002012-05-01T09:12:53.720+01:00Yep, it's funny how dreamy and idealistic we w...Yep, it's funny how dreamy and idealistic we were about it the first time. This time was more about careful planning and making things a good fit for our lives and our family. Not that it's any less special, it's just that there are more people it will effect. xlucy at dear beautifulhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/14389965251370657029noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2511297148381608839.post-18286978991972184812012-05-01T09:11:37.474+01:002012-05-01T09:11:37.474+01:00I'm expecting a few week/months of adjustment ...I'm expecting a few week/months of adjustment to being a mummy of two. Fortunately the little guy is really chilled out and independent, and I'm hoping the fact he has a really good routine will make it a bit easier. Just can't wait to see them together. xlucy at dear beautifulhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/14389965251370657029noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2511297148381608839.post-80411698728494097902012-05-01T09:10:22.091+01:002012-05-01T09:10:22.091+01:00Every family is so different, aren't they? That feeling was so wonderful and I couldn't imagine not doing it all over again. But I wouldn't have gone for it at 11 weeks!!! xlucy at dear beautifulhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/14389965251370657029noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2511297148381608839.post-41350615820382821192012-04-28T23:04:24.447+01:002012-04-28T23:04:24.447+01:00Massive congratulations, like you say there is no ...Massive congratulations, like you say there is no perfect age gap. I never had the romantic planning for Leo, which is something that I wish I did have. I am not married and I do not yet own my own home. I am hoping that number 2 will be planned and will come when we do own our own house. I just need to get other half on side :-)

Age gaps are very tricky and like you said it varies from one family to the next. For me I would like Leo to be around 5 and then have another baby.

xxLaurahttps://www.blogger.com/profile/07693927098032739132noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2511297148381608839.post-68342309397861035902012-04-27T08:06:17.358+01:002012-04-27T08:06:17.358+01:00I said this to Mr E just last night, number one is...I said this to Mr E just last night, number one is very romantic, as is the whole process. Number Two is more out of practicality I presume, we are already thinking about age gaps, and birthdays and things. And I presume you just don't have enough time to sit and chat and dream about it as much. It doesn't make it any less special though I am sure. And in regards to your age gap, it's perfect for you and thats all that matters. xKatie @mummydaddymehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/16371578506277998443noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2511297148381608839.post-5961173180897384942012-04-26T22:36:32.557+01:002012-04-26T22:36:32.557+01:00Congratulations! I found the first few months were quite an adjustment but now we have a sort of routine its a bit more organised. I feel weird even saying that because all the new mums around me are already planning their second. Also I'm not sure we can afford a second because of childcare costs. Hope your pregnancy is a breezeeeee :)Hiccupshttps://www.blogger.com/profile/05194753848227357665noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2511297148381608839.post-63455632879980331022012-04-26T09:55:47.507+01:002012-04-26T09:55:47.507+01:00Hehe. It was weird to think we were expecting another baby and our first one wasn't even one yet, but I just kept remembering that they take 9 months to cook! And the older and more independent he gets the more glad I am that we didn't wait too long, I think I could get quite used to being not needed so much and it would make the adjustment harder. How old will your 'beautiful boy' be when he/she arrives? We have an 18 month gap between 1st and 2nd, I don't think there is a right time. We didn't plan no 2 to be quite so close and I have to say that I cried for 2 days when finding out, as I felt at 9 months I already had 1 baby and just wasn't ready for another one. Obviously 9 months later she was 18 months old and then it was a world of toddlers and babies!Anonymoushttps://www.blogger.com/profile/02610843552921892203noreply@blogger.com
